You know you're jealous when you're pulling all nighters and your friends are sleeping all day. Luckily, there are some perks to your temporary misery.

1. The weather feels a bit more like spring.

Now if you live in Michigan, this is a toss up because the state is bipolar. But excluding Michigan, break becomes a whole lot more enjoyable with sweatshirt weather and a bit of sun.

2. You only have to struggle for two weeks to make it to Easter break.

Although it’s nice to have breaks spread out to sustain motivation, it’s also quite comforting knowing that sleep deprivation only has to last two weeks this time around.

3. Your mom just might have begun the Easter baking by now.

Nothing beats home cooking. Enough said.

4. There will be less crowds.

Whether you’re planning to go to a movie or resort, a late spring break means less people.

5. You save money.

None of your friends from back home are their to coax you into lunch dates and shopping trips. As sad as it is, your tuition bill is calling.

6. Hopefully, there isn’t an excessive amount of homework.

Midterms are over which means new chapters haven’t been starting yet. Maybe you’ll get lucky and not have to drown in books for a bit.

Enjoy the quick bit of freedom, friends.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
