6 Outfit Essentials That Make Any Wardrobe An Ideal Wardrobe

For as long as I can remember, I've loved fashion and pairing different articles of clothing to make a unique, beautiful outfit. I wouldn't consider myself in the same realm as Tan from "Queer Eye," but I think I know a thing or two about putting an outfit together. Fashion and style are important parts of my life, and these are several articles of clothing that I've learned are absolute wardrobe essentials.

1. A Good Pair of Jeans

A good pair of jeans is an actual must when it comes to an outfit. I love jeans and wear a pair almost every day because they're quite comfortable. Jeans can add either casual flare or a put-together-feel, depending on how you style them. A pair of mom jeans, a blouse and booties look professional and are easy to pair together. On a lazy day when you want to leave the house as quick as possible, this outfit will look thought out, when, in fact, it's effortless.

2. A Belt

I've recently loved wearing belts because it's an easy accessory to add to an outfit. Sticking to solid and simple colors is necessary with belts to help tone down or add a more collective attitude to the outfit. Personally, I wear black or brown belts, because those two basic colors can elevate a basic outfit.

3. Black or White Shoes

I'm an absolute sucker for black or white shoes (the majority of my shoes are black or white). A pair of black or white shoes is perfect to complement an eclectic outfit and give it more structure. I've been recently adding more color to the outfits I wear and a pair of black or white shoes have helped complete many a look.

4. A Denim Jacket

Denim jackets have been quite trendy in fashion culture during the last several years, and I'm such a fan of it. A denim jacket is an essential in everyone's closet, because they're perfect to wear on a crisp fall night or look rocker-chic to an event. Denim jackets can spruce up an outfit or give you a relaxed, vintage look.

5. Basic Tees

Someone should've told me two years ago not to buy t-shirts and shirts with bold patterns or designs, because my closet was filled to the brim with tees. Basic tees are necessary for putting together an easy and relaxed outfit. As a full-time college student, the ability to look stylish while being comfortable sitting in a two-hour long lecture is a must. A basic tee, a pair of jeans and sneakers/boots can be a perfect outfit while attempting to run out of the house quickly. Also, having a basic tee in different colors can lighten a modest outfit.

6. Earrings

In the past several months, I've loved adding cool and unique earrings to complete an outfit. In my opinion, an outfit doesn't feel completely together without earrings. A pair of statement earrings or modest hoops can turn an outfit from a seven to a straight nine. Adding a pair of earring to any of my outfits has changed the way I look (and feel) when walking out the door.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate. It can be overwhelming at times and it’s important to take a step a back and calmly think things over. Maybe gain some perspective.
