So it is finally that time of year when we all strive for that perfect beach body and that gorgeous tan. It's summer! Summer is the season where there is no stress about homework or school and is just about fun in the sun. Even though summer is super hot and all, there is always more ways to make you feel even hotter! So put away the Uggs and scarfs and take out the bikinis and shorts! Here are some hacks I have found to make the best out of your summer and feel and look great!

1. Potato Toes

Sometimes in the summer, your feet can dry out and start to crack and look like feet of a 90-year-old. This simple hack will help make your feet nice and smooth again. Just take an half of a potato, cover it in coarse sea salt, and rub it on the heels and bottom of your feet. This acts almost like an exfoliator for your feet!

2. Hair Repair

Between the chlorine in our pools and the lovely salt water from the ocean, our hair tends to become damaged and start to break. Don't worry ladies, I found a cure! Get 100 percent natural coconut oil. When cold, coconut oil becomes a solid. Put it in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds to make it into liquid form. Then massage the oil into your scalp and it into your ends. Let this sit for 20 minutes or, for better results, overnight. Once the time is up, shampoo your hair out. It may take up to two times to get the oil out. You will not need any conditioner because your hair will be so smooth from the oil! Your dry hair soaks up the natural oil, repairing almost all of the damage that has been done to your hair.

3. Cake

When you wear makeup during the summer, sometimes it can get cakey between the sweat and makeup literally melting off your face. Instead of using foundation, use a BB Cream, CC Cream, or tinted moisturizer instead. This makes your skin able to breath and won't sweat off of your face so you can stay on fleek.

4. Tan or Dorito?

So maybe you wanted to get that perfect tan without having to sit in the damaging sun all day, so you decided to give self tanning a shot. Self-tanning can be great or a complete orange disaster. Sometimes self-tanner leaves your hands orange or your whole body looking like you rolled in Dorito dust. A quick way to fix it is to get some lemon juice and baking soda. Mix a couple tablespoons of the baking soda with a few drops of the lemon juice to make a paste. Rub this all over the area you would like the tanner to be removed and it should come off. Plus, this can help with acne too!

5. Unwanted Hair

In the summer as a girl, shaving becomes torturous. If we decide to skip a day, it feels like we already have forests growing off of our legs. This natural mixture will slow down the hair growth, making you be able to skip a few days without worrying! Mix equal amounts of sugar, lemon, and water to make an exfoliator for where you want the hair growth to slow down. Use this mixture no more then twice a week, because if used too much, it could irritate your skin.

6. Eyelashes for Days

Sometimes we want to have our eyelashes look somewhat decent when going to the pool or beach, but don't want to come out of the water looking like a raccoon. Use Vaseline instead of mascara and this will give the effect of voluminous and thicker lashes without having to worry about dark circles. This will also help with lash regrowth! #eyelashgoals

So now that you have some of these great summer beauty hacks (you're welcome), go rock your summer girl, because it is going to go by fast! Most importantly don't worry about your looks so much. Enjoy yourself and have fun because if you are always worried about how you look this summer, you will miss out on all the fun and awesome experiences.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
