With the holidays fast approaching, many family gatherings and parties are being planned. As an avid makeup lover, that means many occasions to go full glam and I love every minute. But sometimes I get stuck in a rut where I won't try anything new for these occasions. Below, I've comprised some different makeup looks to get those creative juices flowing and get out of the holiday makeup look rut.

The Classic Holiday Look
Every year, hundreds of youtubers post videos of this classic makeup look. It's the easiest go to look for the Holidays because it's festive and glam but not too hard to achieve. This particular video is by my favorite makeup artist on Youtube, Jaclyn Hill.

Green/Red Inspired Look
Another option for those fabulous holiday parties is go colorful and take inspiration from the season. You can go with our without glitter, pair it with a multitude of lip colors, and it adds a pop of color you don't always think to do. The video linked is by Youtuber Posvoemu and is full of glitter and glam.

The Soft and Glowy Look
Often times, people think to go big and bold for the holiday's but for people who don't wear a lot of makeup going the soft and glowy route will be just as beautiful. Think ice princess realness. The linked video is by Youtuber NikkieTutorialsl and she is the highlight goddess so there's no better video to get inspiration from.

Berry Toned Look
Another option for this holiday season is go more vampy with berry toned lips and eye shadows. This adds a pop of color without being as extreme as the red/green toned video. It gives you a lot of options because these every shade of these colors on the market, you can use light shades or very dark shades. This particular video is by Youtuber Heidi Hamoud and is in between midtone and dark berry colors.

Glittery and Gold Look
A basic eye look you can for any holiday party or event is something gold and glittery. It lends itself to virtually any lip color and fits almost any skin tone. These so many shades of gold, so it's a very customizable makeup look and can fit any age or skin tone. This video is by the Youtuber Makeup with Jah and is perfect for everyone.

Neutral with a Pop of Glitter Look
While not everyone enjoys glitter of full glam, I feel as though everyone needs to have a touch of glitter as the holidays. So adding a pop of glitter to a normal neutral eye either as a liner or in the inner corner can add just the right amount of glam for the holidays. This video linked is by the Youtuber Kasey and shows how you can achieve a beautiful glitter eyeliner.

If you evr need inspiration, youtube if full of amazing artists with so many great ideas I'm positive you'll find what you're looking for!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
