College is extremely rough sometimes, and when finals are approaching fast, sometimes little things that you can do in your day really make a difference not only towards your mental health and wellness, but it allows you to push a positive mentality towards others and make their days better.

1. Going for a morning walk

Walks in the morning can not only lead to a healthy habit, but it also allows you to take some time to truly look around and maybe even find a new spot that you think is really cool.

2. Eating at an earlier/later time

This one can be a bit more difficult depending on your schedule, however, eating at a different time can allow you to possibly see some friends that you haven’t seen in a while, and maybe even finally get that rice krispie treat you’ve been searching for before they run out.

3. Waking up/go to bed a half an hour earlier

There is something about lying in bed for a while as you know that you do not have to do ANYTHING in that moment. It’s pure bliss.

4. Eating alone or with a different crowd

Eating alone can seem scary, but it doesn’t have to be. Watch that video that you have not had the time to watch because you have been so busy. Take some time to continue your book. Even if none of that is what you prefer, eat with people who aren’t your typical meal pals. Changing up who you eat with allows you to catch up and get to see what exciting things they are doing that you could do with them.

5. Taking the road less traveled by

Going to class down the same route is something that we all usually do without thinking, but taking a different route could lead you to bump into someone you haven’t seen in a while or even get to pet that cute dog that you heard about for the last week.

6. Saying “Yes” to more of those spontaneous invites

We all have had these moments where you are with friends and someone says, “let’s do _____” and suddenly everyone is planning this random trip. These small adventures that lead to you pushing your homework back to a late night/early morning cram are the memories that will always stay in your heart.

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
