Anxiety can be a scary, frustrating thing to deal with. It can make you feel crazy, and less than normal. Please know if you experience anxiety you are normal. Anxiety is surprisingly something almost everyone deals with at some point in their lifetime. So when you are struggling with this monster, remember these 6 important things.....

1. This WILL NOT last forever

Anxiety seems to be so scary. It seems it will last forever, but it will not. There will be times in your life when you hardly experience any anxiety at all, but there will also be times you struggle greatly with it. If you get to feeling anxious remember this WILL NOT last forever.

2. You still have control

If you let it, anxiety will take control of you, and it is so east to let it. But remember you are the one in control of your mind and your thoughts still. It DOES not and WILL not have control unless you let it.

3. What your anxiety tells you is a LIE

This thing makes up lies and puts false fears in your head that seem so real. But remember what I said above you still have control.

4. Your friends and family want to understand and help

I promise they want to understand. They want to walk through this with you. They want to help. I know if you live with this monster, you may not even understand it, but they want to just as badly as you do.

5. You are NORMAL

This monster can make you feel so many things. I promise you are still normal. There are so many people who experience anxiety in their life. Just because you have anxiety, does not make you a freak.

6. BREATHE

The most important thing, anxiety is known for taking this from you. JUST BREATHE. Everything will pass. The anxiety will pass. The problem will pass. Whatever you do, DO NOT FORGET TO BREATHE.

It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours.
