Like many people, I have spent an insane amount of money at Starbucks.

When I finally reach the 125 stars needed to redeem one free food or drink item, I like to sometimes use those rewards to try something new, since I have nothing to lose. I prefer ordering iced beverages over hot drinks. I like not waiting for my drink to cool down before I consume it and not being burned if it happens to spill. I order iced drinks year-round. It could be below freezing, and I will still, usually, select an iced beverage to a hot one. I have not tried every drink on the menu, but I have introduced my taste buds to a variety of refreshing beverages.

Here are just a few of those lovely drinks that I recommend trying for yourselves:

1. Iced Coffee

You were probably expecting me to start this list off with something fancier or even from the "Secret Menu." I will get to those soon enough. If you are one who enjoys simpler drinks, there is nothing wrong with a simple iced coffee, with or without milk. It is priced lower than most of the other caffeinated beverages you can get at Starbucks, so if you want to save some money, you can always pick up a nice iced coffee to feed your caffeine fix.

2. Passion Tango Tea

If you have yet to introduce your taste buds to Teavana's wide selection of teas, you are missing out. I once made fun of a friend who bought loose-leaf tea, mainly because of the steep price tag. I eventually decided to try it for myself, and I am glad that I did. My iced Teavana drink of choice is the Passion Tango Tea.

3. Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

Fans of the Passion Tango Tea who enjoy an even sweeter kick in their drinks can opt to order a Passion Tango Tea with Lemonade. If you are watching your calorie intake, you ought to know that this drink will have more calories than the plain Passion Tango.

4. Pink Drink

Formerly exclusive to the "Secret Menu" one can find online, it is now on the actual Starbucks menu. For those who do not know what the Pink Drink consists of, I shall fill you in. It begins with a Strawberry Acai Refresher. Add some coconut milk and strawberries, and you got yourself your very own pink drink. Blackberries and lime slices are other fruits you can ask to add to your Pink Drink, but I have yet to try them for myself.

5. S'mores Frappuccino

This is an exclusive frappuccino flavor that is only offered for a limited time in the late spring and early summer. Nothing says summer more than making s'mores over a campfire, or over a stove if you prefer to stay indoors. Every sip of this drink makes you almost feel like you are eating an actual s'more.

6. Doubleshot On Ice

For those who need an extra dose or two of caffeine to keep you awake, you can change it up and order a Doubleshot on Ice. I tried my first one today and it certainly has a significant amount of caffeine in it, so consume them with caution. If you prefer sweeter flavored drinks, you probably will not enjoy this one so much.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
