With so many amazing places to study, hang out with friends, and explore at KU, some go more unnoticed than others. For a quieter place to study, or a new place to explore, sometimes visiting the lesser-known places on campus is the way to go.

1. The Moore Reading Room

Located in Smith Hall, the reading room is the perfect place to study. It has several printers and scanners, nearly 15,000 books to reference, and a beautiful stained glass window to stare at when you need a quick study break.

2. The Bee Tree

Ever wondered where the trashcan bees that swarm campus around spring come from? The answer: a tube outside of Dyche Hall that leads to an entire colony of bees on the sixth floor of the building. Have no fear: they’re just honey bees, so you won’t get stung if you go check them out.

3. Jayhawk Collection

Nothing will get you more nostalgic and heartfelt about being a Jayhawk than over 1,000 KU-related items on display on the second floor of the Kansas Union. From a 20-year-old bottle of whiskey with a Jayhawk on the label to a 1914 KU pocket watch, there are enough items to make any Jayhawk proud of their school’s history.

4. The East Asian Library

With a variety of rotating exhibits, The East Asian Library on the fifth floor of Watson Library is a dynamite place to learn more about Asian cultures. With minimal foot traffic, this part of the library is also a great place to study quietly.

5. The Wescoe First Floor Restrooms

Easily the cleanest restrooms on campus, these commodes can be found by taking the East elevator in Wescoe to the first floor. Everything about the restrooms seems new, from the toilets to the tile. Bonus: the women’s stalls have several places to hang your belongings, including hooks specifically for backpacks.

6. Hawks Nest

Located well-outside of the Jay on the first floor of the Union, Hawks Nest is the perfect place to go with a study group. A variety of seating options will accommodate a group of any size, and there are several charging stations located around the room. The perfect view of Memorial Stadium doesn’t hurt, either.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
