If you enjoy walking through haunted houses or watching scary movies, you might want to branch out to horror video game. This genre of video games are entertaining no matter what console or graphic style. As long as you find yourself feeling a few moments of fear, then you have achieve the game designer's goal. Listed bellow are six games bound to make you scared while playing.

Hotel Remorse

This indie game gives you the simulation of walking down an everlasting hotel hallway. The eerie sensation is reminiscent of The Shinning as players find themselves anticipating a figure to appear in front of them. With the additional elements of sound effects and dim lighting, this game will leave you on edge within each door you open.

The Park

Horror game enthusiast will appreciate this game for delivering a high level of hysteria. The game is played through the eyes of a mother who has lost her son in a theme park. Gamers must embrace visuals that could only be seen in nightmares. The Park is not for those who have clown phobias or a fear of being alone at a theme park.

Slender


Slender may seem outdated due to low quality in graphics, but the game should be considered a classic due to its cult following of the genre. Players must walk through the woods and avoid the Sender man at all cost. Consider this an interactive hide-and-seek you're glad is not reality.

Players will be terrified by the many night vision views of Mount Massive Asylum in Outlast. Players take the role of an investigator who is searching for evidence of experimentation on mentally ill patients. Red Barrels has obviously created the Outlast series for brave souls and those seeking a good scare.

If you ever wish you could manipulate horror movie characters into making decisions you approve of, then Until Dawn is for you! Besides the cool feature of controlling the fate of characters, the game has many layers of fear embedded into the plots within the game. The cinematic graphics and fantastic voice acting that makes you feel like you're trapped in a horror movie.

Five Nights at Freddy's

Five Nights at Freddy's has been hyped up for its point-and-click approach that gets players wanting to reach to the fifth night. In order to win the game, players must carefully watch the every move of the evil animatronics in order to move on to the next night. This game takes patience and is not for the faint-hearted.
