The 1900's was a wild time. From the first and second World War, the stock market crash, the African American Civil Right's Movement, and the construction and demolition of the Berlin Wall, it was a busy time, but even during this busy time, the fashion industry was booming. Breaking free from other countries fashion expectations, America was finally setting their own trends or revamping others.
1. Chokers.
Choker's date back to the Sumer empire in Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt when they were worn for protection, but in the early 1900's they became a fashion statement. It wasn't until 2015, that they really made a comeback.
2. High top converse.
