We all look forward to the festive holiday season and we all must thank the start of October for all the chaotic madness. As October ends and November begins, the smell of cinnamon broomsticks fills the air and the produce sections of the super market becomes a sea of big orange pumpkins. As the days fly by, the joy of having a four day weekend and a feast of various dishes begins to make the parents worry and the kids excited. What do I bring? What shall I make? Are questions that begin to be thrown around as people scurry to cook or host the best Thanksgiving dinner or dish. But do not fret. Below are six essential Thanksgiving dishes that are sure to make your Thanksgiving marvelous.

1. The Turkey

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it. After all, it is the star of the feast. But don't forget to compliment it with stuffing whether you stuff the turkey with it or make it a side dish these two go and in hand.


2. The Ham


A sweet and delicious compliment to the turkey this dish is sure to leave many at the table begging for seconds.


3. Mac & Cheese


Not only is it a kids favorite, adults also enjoy this cheesy and creamy dish.


4. Mashed Potatoes


Make them however you like and dress them with whatever ingredients but these are a must. Its one of the most important side dishes to compliment that turkey.


5. Biscuits or Corn Bread

Based on preferences either of these two will or both will make your feast scrumptious.


6. Pie


No Thanksgiving feast is complete without pie for desert. Whether its pecan, apple or pumpkin make sure to enjoy your slice with some whipped cream and ice cream if possible.
