Dude Perfect

Five guys and Panda doing sweet trick shots and sports things for a living. This is Dude Perfect. Created by Garrett Hilbert, Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Coby Cotton, and Corey Cotton (and I guess Panda, if you're counting Panda) with the typical need to one up a bro, they now have baller facilities in Texas and sponsorships from pretty much everything from Oreo to Nerf as well as a TV show on CMT. Their YouTube channel is perfect for procrastination. Their channel's playlists include "Stereotypes," "Athletes & Celebs," "Battles," and "World Record Shots."

Here's a selection of videos to watch when you're down, procrastinating, or just want to watch some sweet sports tricks.

Epic Trick Shot Battle 3

Brodie Smith guests in this video and trick shots get taken to a whole new level with not only basketball, but frisbee. Honestly, it's the coolest thing. And, fun fact, the day after I watched this, Brodie Smith followed me on Twitter. GO CATS.

Driving Stereotypes ft. Dale Jr.

Dale Jr and driving? Domestic driving? Perfect. We've all got friends like this. We've all got friends that drive slow, drive fast, or you know, go full on rage monster. And pretty much every road trip end up taking a turn to girl jams.

Bubble Wrap Battle

Um...BUBBLE WRAP. Everyone LOVES bubble wrap. And who wouldn't love to play around in the bubble wrap FACTORY??? It's like everyone's inner kid's dream.

Gym Stereotypes

Basically. I mean, we all know at least one of these guys. Or a few.

Water Bottle Flip Edition

This was the first Dude Perfect video I watched. I thought the music was awesome. And, as a sleep deprived college student working on my own dreams, their facilities looked amazing. I'll admit it, I was fascinated and slightly jealous their jobs were basically making lit videos and doing sports ball. I mean, check out their offices in the video(s)!

Ping Pong Trick Shots 3

Ping Pong is so accessible. Especially in college- well I mean, mostly in the sense of beer pong, but still, ping pong and trick shots.

For one, who dreams up all of this? All of the different trick shots? All the different challenges (like thebubble gum challenge or the trampoline charades challenge?) Who gets the supplies? How many times do they try to do the shot before they actually get it? But putting all that aside, their videos are awesome. And as someone who loves trick shots and the like, their YouTube content never fails to make my day a little brighter and fascinate me when they make those sweet tricks real.

The only thing that I hold against them is their Texas A&M gear. Coming from a UNI Panther, yeah, Panther Nation is still salty about the 2016 NCAA second round basketball game. But I understand, they're in Texas and it makes sense.

You can find Dude Perfect on their website and YouTube Channel.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
