The 2000s did it the best.

Nothing can compare to the OG Disney Channel TV shows that we all love and miss. The new shows on Disney just cannot compare; well in our eyes. The shows from the early 2000s were and always will be our childhood. And we are still wondering why they are not on Netflix yet.

1. "Lizzie McGuire"

This show is like the leader of the OG Disney shows. Everyone could relate to Lizzie back when we were in elementary school. She was just trying to survive school with her two best friends by her side. She had a huge crush on Ethan, which obviously every girl who watched the show did as well. Yeah, he wasn't the smartest but who cares, he had nice hair. There was Kate with her outfits that we all wanted to wear and her terrible comebacks she would give Lizzie, she was a love/hate character. Miranda was that best friend that everyone wanted to have. And don't even get me started with the Lizzie McGuire movie when everyone flipped shit over Gordo and Lizzie kissing, but it just ended right there. Still mad about it.

2. "That's So Raven"

If you did not love this show, then you did not have a childhood. Oh snap! This show was fill with sassiness and catch phrases that, still to this day, are being used. Raven Baxter and her ESP powers made everyone who watched this show want ESP. But that one episode where she wanted her visions to be gone was an emotional episode for everyone. No one wanted her to say goodbye to her visions. Not only were people jealous of her ESP abilities, but all the girls were jealous of her room, it was amazing #roomgoals. Once the show ended we were all upset, but don't worry, "Corey in the House" aired and I think people only watched that one episode that Raven came to visit. The one episode made us realized how much we missed Raven Baxter.

3. "Phil of the Future"

I think everyone watched this show because of all the cool futuristic gadgets that were involved....well that and how hot Phil was. "Phil of the Future" was such a great show that made all of us excited for the future so we could use a gadget that instantly straighten our hair in a second. Or that gadget that prepared food within seconds...ah yes I will like someone to invent that now please. But once again, Disney got us by having Phil and Keeley finally kiss and then the show was over. Disney Channel two, us zero.

4. "Hannah Montana"

This will be my favorite Disney show ever. Hannah Montana had the life that every girl wanted. By day she was a normal student, and by night she was a freaking rock star. I could have easily quoted two songs of hers right there, but I controlled myself. Her songs are still car playlist essentials for any road trip you take with friends. Also, can we puhlease talk about when Jesse McCarthy guest starred and there was a little love romance between him and Hannah? Oh my gosh, literally so steamy. But let's be real, you were either Team Jake or Team Jesse. But sorry Team Jesse fans, Jake Ryan won Miley's heart. Everyone was a fan of this show and if you say you are not, you are lying to yourself, because how can you not love this show?

5. "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody"

I would like to take this time to just appreciate how attractive Dylan and Cole Sprouse are now. OK now back to "Suite Life of Zach and Cody." This show introduced us to Mr. Mosby and the world needed to know him. Honestly I think he made this show, he was freaking hysterical. Also, London Tipton was so dumb that she was funny. The PRNDL episode was a must see and side note, did anyone see Mr. Mosby Instagram on what he said when his daughter passed her driver's test? Well if you have not, then you need to make a plan to Google it right after this. We all wished that the Tipton were a real hotel, so we could go visit it and have Esteban carry our luggage and buy candy from Maddie.

6. "Wizards of Waverly Place"

This show is about freaking wizards. How can you not like this? Yeah it is not Harry Potter, but it was amazing for a Disney TV show. Alex was such a badass who could have any guy she wanted, and was a witch on top of that. But then the show got a little crazy when Alex started to date a werewolf. Holy shit guys. This was a huge thing for Alex. I mean, out of all the guys who could have dated, she chooses a werewolf. But in her defense, Mason was hot. I mean shit, I would date a werewolf if he looked like Mason. Who remembers when Alex had fur for wallpaper in her room? Yeah genius idea. She was honestly living the life; hot boyfriend, a witch and her outfits/hairstyles were always on point.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

Christmas tree
Librarian Lavender

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!
