The 6 Best Things About Dad Culture

Dad culture is probably the greatest social phenomenon since sliced bread. Are you a fan of dad culture? The dad jokes, the New Balance shoes, the light wash Levi jeans, and you can't forget the white shirt tucked into the Levi's, of course. Dad culture is glorious and everyone should become a fan. And if you happen to be a dad and you are reading this, stop what you're doing right now an go buy some New Balance running shoes; they're just so in right now. Here are some valid reasons you should love dad culture, because it's just that great.

1. The beer belly.

Yup. In order to be a stereotypical dad, you need the beer belly, and I think that goes without saying. I just had to make sure you knew that I knew that this was one of the most important aspects of dad culture.

2. The shoes.

This is the epitome of dad culture. Yup, this right here. Go look at pictures of your Dad in the 90s, or even now, and I guarantee you he is wearing these. Go check, I dare you.

3. The jeans.

Ah yes, the iconic light wash jeans. Thanks to Romney for choosing the light wash jeans. These are the key to dad culture: Baggy, dare I say it, dad jeans. Get yourself a pair.

4. The classic white t-shirt tucked into the jeans.

Or jorts, for this matter. The classic white t-shirt tucked into any jean material just screams "dad." Your dad probably has at least 10 plain white tees, and they're probably made by Fruit of the Loom.

5. The jokes.

Dad jokes are the best kind of jokes, hands down. The classic puns are what make these dad jokes the best. I'm sure your dad has a few up his sleeve.

6. T-shirts with the word "dad" in there somewhere.

This is one of my own personal favorites. And this is actually a t-shirt that my Dad has (lol). If you look closely, you can see the shadow of his phone on the t shirt. That's pretty "dad" if you ask me.

So there you go, here are the main ways to appreciate and observe classic dad behavior. And if you're a particular fan, make sure you send your dad this article so he can become even more of a dad than he probably already is.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.
