If you've stumbled across the #bookstagram tag or just have an eye for gorgeous covers, then you know what am impact a good box set can have on your shelf. Judging a book by it's cover? Totally, but in this case it's all right. When an author announces a new box set, it's like Christmas because I know something unique is coming and I NEED to get my hands on one. Here are some sets your bookshelf can't live without.

1. The Lord of the Rings Millennium Edition

Starting with the most expensive set, these books are elegant and classic. It's almost as if I don't care what is on the inside, I just need the covers. If you are willing to fork out the $300 for this set, DO IT because they are VERY limited. They can be found in Barnes and Noble Marketplace Online.

2. This Puffin Classics "In Bloom" Collection

Found on Amazon, this collection struck my eye with it's bright colors and floral patterns. These are the kind of books that you keep around and give to your children and so on. They are durable and have interesting features in the back including illustrations and recipes from the stories. Totally adorable for any shelf!

3. The "Glow in the Dark" Harry Potter Set

Okay, these babies blew my mind. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you where to find them because they have not been released yet. They may not ever be released. From what I can tell these were just an idea. However, I think we all can agree that these sleek black covers are worth the wait!

4. The Puffin Jane Austen Set

Similar in price to the "In Bloom" Collection, this Puffin set is another affordable beauty. Complete with seven Jane Austen classics, it's a set that would be worth holding on to in the long run. Also found on Amazon, this set takes you through every story Jane so eloquently wrote.

5. Percy Jackson Set

Affordably priced at around $20 on Amazon, this set is one for the younger readers. Percy Jackson's story is is classic that will always be an enjoyable read and these sets are just as enjoyable to look at. Yes, I mostly love this book for the covers and there is nothing wrong with that.

6. The Hunger Games (Luxury Edition)

Coming in at around $50 shipped, this set really ties together the classy feel of the Capitol itself. The white cover with the foiled edges are the type of luxury my shelf needs. While Amazon does not have this collection, I found it here for $47.99.

So if you are looking for that "something" to spruce up your shelves, check out these sets!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
