They say blondes have more fun, but that isn't always the case when taking care of their locks. Here is a list of blonde hair must haves.
Silver Shampoo
I live in South Africa and I know the harsh African sun tends to bring out the warmth in your lovely highlights. Most people like to combat it with a nice silver shampoo.
Make sure to use professional products (no Gentian Violet please, it drys your hair) and don't overdo it. You don't want to walk around looking like your family with Barney the Dinosaur for a week.
My personal favorite is Kevin Murphy's Blonde.Angel.Wash, never before has a shampoo smelled so wonderful and worked so perfectly at the same time.
Moisture Treatments
Let's face it, blonde hair is dry, which is why you must try and use a treatment in your hair. Towel dry, apply on tips and massage through, leaving on for at least 5 minutes.
My personal recommendations would be Moroccanoil's Hydrating mask (actually just about any product from Moroccanoil), or Schwarzkopf Bonacure's Repair Rescue masque.
Leave in Conditioner
These things are magical. Not only will they condition your hair longer, but brushing out your hair will be super easy which will lead to less breakage.
Schwarzkopf Bonacure's Moisture Kick works like a dream (and smells wonderful)
Detangle brush
You shouldn't stress any hair too much, much less blonde hair. A detangle brush is specially designed to glide through your hair with little resistance. Always brush from the ends up as it will mean less tension on the hair.
My personal favorite is the Tangle Teezer.
Dry Shampoo
Let's face it, who wants to wash their hair every day anyway. Not only will dry shampoo save your hair from drying out too much due to shampoos, but it won't leave any white stains on your hair. Plus it adds volume to your hair!
If you don't want to spend too much money on professional products I'd recommend
Good Hair OilsA good oil to use on blonde hair is essential to keep frizzyness at bay. It will also nourish your hair leaving it feeling soft and looking beautiful.
I'd recommend Wella's LuxeOil. It looks beautiful and works like a charm
