We're all guilty of it: wasting time playing games on our phones when we should be doing something else. Sometimes, we're even able to do it while we're actually doing that something else - multitasking at its finest. Whether you're good at multitasking or not, these are some great game apps to kill some time and maybe even improve your hand-eye coordination and imagination (but probably not).

Note: I have, or have had, all of these on my phone.

1. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

A lot of us grew up wanting to go to Hogwarts, and being subsequently crushed when we didn't get our letters at age 11 (but props to Mom and Dad for getting me a letter anyways :P). With this app, you get to make your own character and go on your own adventures at a time set just after Harry Potter destroyed the Dark Lord!

Now, I know what we're looking forward to most is that future RPG that will hopefully arrive very soon, but in the meantime, this one does the trick! There are tons of mini-games and quests within the main adventure, so there's always something to do!

2. Angry Birds 2

Angry Birds 2 is my personal favorite out of them all, because of its neat challenges every day, the hats, and being able to compete against other players for the top spot in the Diamond League. But really, all of the Angry Birds games are pretty awesome (that I know of - note that I have not played any new ones since probably 2014).

3. Disney Emoji Blitz

I just discovered this a few days ago and I'm hooked. It's an awesome game rather like Candy Crush in nature, but you unlock Disney emojis along the way AND they get added to your phone's keyboard! Plus, each emoji has a special power to help you knock out other emojis or get higher scores. If you power up Simba, for example, a herd of wild animals stomps their way across the board!

4. Chuzzle 2

I don't know what happened to Chuzzle 1 in the app store, but the second is great! There are all new sorts of levels with this one, and along the way, you unlock puzzle pieces and pet Chuzzles of your own!

5. WordBrain

This is the best word game I've come across, with hundreds upon hundreds of levels to solve. The more challenging they get, the more letters are added! The board goes from a simple 2x2, to 3x3, to 4x4...well, you get the picture.

6. Fantastic Beasts: Cases

Another Harry Potter themed one, but this time you're solving the mystery of the beasts! It's a scavenger hunt game with an entertaining team of wizards at your side as you discover clues about the beast and safely remove them from harm's way!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
