This past Thursday, February 2nd, was Groundhog Day. In Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and we all know what that means! 6 more weeks of winter.

So since we have 6 more weeks to deal with this weather, let's explore what that means.

1. Dry skin

Dry skin is always a problem for many people but it is especially apparent in the cold winter weather. I know being outside for about 2 seconds will cause my hands to become extremely dry and cracked. In fact, my knuckles will bleed because of how cracked they are.And no amount of lotion will help my hands to heal.

2. It's cold

In addition to having dry skin, you're just extremely cold. All the time. You have to layer your clothes and have on heavy coats just to walk outside for a minute. It also means that once you get inside, you're sweating almost immediately because of the heat.

3. More snow

There's a possibility of snow. And while it looks nice and is perfect for a picture, it causes a lot more trouble. You have to be extra careful when walking and driving.

4. Sickness is all around

Flu season is here which comes with a plethora of other illnesses. And everywhere you go, you hear someone sniffling. I always try my hardest not to get any sickness from friends or family members. But sometimes that's unavoidable.

5. It's dark

We all know the feeling, you go outside of your house, office, and classroom in the morning or afternoon in the hopes of a bright and sunny day, but that is not the case. Instead, it's still relatively dark outside. This leads me to not really want to do anything and instead just go back to sleep.

6. The wind

Around this time of year, the wind just loves to blow and mess up people's hair, outfits, and cause people to drop things. This just causes a bunch of other problems for people. Overall, it's just not an ideal thing to add to this already not ideal season.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
