After climbing what seemed like a mountain of college options, I decided to attend Susquehanna University.
Honestly, what made me attracted to the school was the fact that I could apply for free.
From the time I was accepted to now, the university has done nothing but impress me and made me feel very welcome.
The campus is small which enables the students to have a one on one experience with their professors.
During a student day at the campus which is similar to orientation, I got to speak with the chemistry professor who made me feel better about the major I was choosing. When I came back the next time, he remembered me and we had a meaningful conversation!
I had always dreamed about attending my state school and being part of a huge campus but now, I couldn't imagine not attending Susquehanna University.
Being cheap really paid off for once!
Now that I have committed to SU, I was given a remarkable opportunity that really assures me that this school and its staff truly care about me succeeding.
I was invited to stay at campus for a week in the summer along with nine other students that are majoring in something similar to me.
We made friends and spent the week with our professors who gave their time to put on a week of learning and research. Not only was it cost free, but they gave us a $200 gift card for Amazon and a $50 gift card for gas!
I cannot wait to attend SU in the fall and have some faces that I know in class!
Along with being paid to enjoy myself and make friends, the professors took us to Knoebels, a cute little amusement park near Selinsgrove, and we got to spend an evening there riding roller coasters and having a wonderful time.
We got to know the professors before starting our classes, and we had fun doing it.
I'm very excited for what Susquehanna University has to offer me for the next four years to come!
