As an avid lover of all thing autumnal, it is easy for me to completely push my educational responsibilities aside to share with you the joy of the upcoming season ahead of us.

1. Two words : SWEATER WEATHER

Summer has its perks with beach trips, killer tans, and of course no school, but nothing beats being able to throw on that favorite sweatshirt and legging combo that has you basking in the comfort of 100% cotton.

2. Halloween

This time of year gives you a chance to walk on the spooky side. Costume parties, haunted houses, and CANDY. Or looking forward to November 1st because all of those big bags of Halloween candy go on sale. And with Halloween comes all of our favorite childhood movies like Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus.

3. Thanksgiving

FOOD COMA. Need I say more? Probably not, but I will. Aside from the amazing food you have - stuffing is a personal favorite - but also the company. Being surrounded by the people you love is always a good time.

4. Apple/Pumpkin Picking

Whether you go as a date, with your friends or with family, pumpkin and apple picking is always a fun time. There's something for everyone, the hay rides, the fair - like food (APPLE CIDER DONUTS!!!), or just the cool, crisp air of autumn.

5. Fall Foliage leaves

One of the most beautiful things to watch is the leaves changing color and fall to the ground. Mixtures of oranges, reds, browns, and yellows are everywhere. Not to mention the satisfying crunch they make under your feet.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
