Thanksgiving break is just on the horizon, and for many people, that means going back to their childhood home. Being back home can bring on a multitude of emotions: the excitement to sleep in your bedroom, getting a meal from your favorite local restaurant or being reunited with childhood friends. Basically, Thanksgiving break equates to a ton of nostalgia, and nothing brings on that nostalgic feeling more than songs from the 2000s to early 2010s. Even if you loathed the town you grew up in, nostalgia still gives us that warm fuzzy feeling of being a kid, before we had the weight of the world pounding on our shoulders with responsibilities and being thrust into the realm of self-reliance. My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
