There are many things in the world that I enjoy doing, and I like to think that I am pretty good at some of them. However, there is one thing that I am an absolute expert at: procrastination. When it comes to school assignments, I’m pretty good about keeping with a schedule, but not always. There are somethings that I can push off to the very last minute. We all know and understand the rushed panic of trying to meet a deadline for turning in a paper. It’s not a pleasant experience. Nonetheless, as long as there is education to be had, there will also be found students putting their work off.

Without further adieu, here are fifty-two things I do (and you can too!) instead of what I’m actually supposed to:

1. Clean my room

2. Count my change

3. Start reading a new book

4. Set aside new book after three chapters

5. Watch a new TV show on Netflix

6. Finish the TV show on Netflix

7. Bake cookies

8. Write a journal entry

9. Make my bed

10. Plan out a road trip across America

11. Calculate how much money I need to go to Disney World

12. Begin a sketch

13. Listen to music

14. Re-arrange my shoes

15. Give myself a facial

16. Floss my teeth

17. See what the cast of ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ looks like today

18. Go online shopping

19. Imagine impossible scenarios

20. Paint my nails

21. Take out the garbage

22. Go for a run

23. Spend hours on Pinterest

24. Decide that you WILL try out that DIY asap

25. Fail at said DIY

26. Plan your wedding

27. Think of a name for the dog you’ll get five years from now

28. Watch videos of babies laughing

29. Attempt couple’s yoga (have a third friend film, because, it’s hilarious)

30. Make weird faces in the mirror

31. Attempt to understand politics

32. Print and frame some photographs

33. Drink a cup of coffee

34. Read fanfiction from your favorite fandom

35. Read the dictionary. Especially the ‘Z’ section.

36. Count to 43 in French

37. Try and remember 10th grade Geometry

38. Wonder who decides which artists are considered great

39. Look up dad jokes on the internet

40. Write a letter to your friend that lives across the country

41. Make a list of things you need for an upcoming trip

42. Play 52 Card Pick-Up

43. Play Monopoly with the actual rules

44. Learn a few phrases in Italian

45. Sing along with the Highschool Musical soundtrack

46. Laugh at baby Zac Efron

47. Swoon at current Zac Efron

48. Practice your princess wave (like Mia from ‘The Princess Diaries’)

49. Play with the filters on Instagram

50. Clean out your purse (or backpack)

51. Practice your autograph for when you become famous

52. Lastly, make a 52 point list of all the things you shouldn’t be doing right now

As you can see, some of the things that I do are actually really productive, but they are still just there to push off what I really should be doing.

Good luck in your own endeavors, and happy procrastination to you!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
