I have a confession to make: I am a Fitbit fanatic. I have the tan line, the app, and almost all of the badges. Without my Fitbit I am literally naked. My ChargeHR is literally my BFF, so I decided I wanted to write about why I love it so much:

I'm an athlete so I workout, like a lot. In the dark ages of pre-Fitbit, I had a really hard time tracking the intensity and length of my workout. But now, I am able to see my heart rate which makes it easier to track my workouts. If I'm feeling motivated, I try a mostly cardio workout, but if it's an easy day I try for a fat burning workout. I also love how it gives me a workout goal (number of times in a week), because it gives me something to strive toward.

My next point kind of goes back to the goal thing. Constantly trying to obtain the step goal gives me something to strive for so I am more likely to workout. Also, the app lets you challenge your friends to step challenges, too, which absolutely fires up my competitive side. Once I got so involved in a challenge that after my other friends swore they would never get a Fitbit they eventually did and challenged me, too. I honestly feel so triumphant when I beat someone in a challenge or even meet my step goal for the day (see picture above for accurate representation of me post goal achievement).

I can count my calories and see the offset with my calories burned. I know they say that counting your calories is a horrible way to diet, but it's actually caused me to pick healthier foods versus just causing me to restrict my diet. Also, I know if I want to go out and eat bad at night that I need to workout extra hard during the day. When I am dedicated to it, I feel the difference.

Lastly, I love my Fitbit because it's so cute and versatile! The first one I got was black and literally went with everything. After a year I wore that one out, so I had to get a new one. My new baby is super cute and super pink. So basically it's cute and athletic (aka me). But, besides the aesthetic beauty, it's super versatile. It's a step counter, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, and watch. Oh, and it alerts me if I have a call! It's basically the OG Apple Watch, but less expensive.

I only have a few words left, but basically Fitbits rule. It's been a great tool during my fitness journey. It's helped me realize that as long as I'm trying, I am accomplishing small goals. I honestly wouldn't trade my Fitbit for anything like it. Everyone should get one!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
