We have been best friends since the hideous years of middle school, the rivalries of high school, and just the drama involved with being a girl. And even after it all, she's still got my back no matter. So, of course, we would still be friends even through the distance of college.
We may be 500 miles apart, but my best friend is still my best friend.
Leaving home and going to college is hard. And leaving behind so many people that mean so much to you doesn't make it any easier. But the great thing about it is that you are able to find out who your true friends are no matter the distance.
We don’t have the friendship of talking continuously every single day and that’s perfectly OK.
Because we have that sense of family that no matter what time of day or what is going on in either of our lives if one of us needs each other we are there for each other. Even if we can’t be physically there.
She has always been the one there to help me get out of my comfort zone. And I have been there for her when everything is falling apart and all she wants is a chicken plate from Zaxby’s with extra ranch!
Even though we are so connected, doesn't mean that I don't still miss her, because heaven knows there have been many moments when I want to drive and visit her.
But she's still there to remind me why I came to college and to not allow anyone to get to me!
We understand each other so well, that no matter how far apart we are it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t change who we are or what we’ve been through together and that’s one of the glories of college.
We both know that we have each other to lean on. Whether that’s through the stress of finals or even just drunk Facetime calls, she still listens to it all.
She may be at a different college and may even be almost 500 miles away, nothing has changed. She’s still my amazing best friend and will still be my maid-of-honor at my wedding!
