Life tends to become hectic, and commonly, we forget to reward ourselves for all of our hard work. People commonly forget to do nice things for themselves because they are overly consumed by everyday responsibilities. However, with self-loathing and gluttonous behavior becoming the new trend, why not treat yourself more? The best part about treating yourself is that it can cost you very little or a lot—it is your call. The most important thing when it comes to treating yourself is feeling better afterwards. The options are really limitless, depending on what makes you the happiest. Whether you find comfort in your favorite foods or just need a spa day, there are many ways you can reward yourself.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus.
