As women, we have always been told that a "good morning" text from your significant other should be expected. This is supposed to show a sign that you were their first thought when they woke up in the morning. S'cute, right? Well, what about the women out there who aren't in relationships, or the ones who are and don't care about a silly "good morning, beautiful" text?
I think I'm a little different when it comes to the expected relationship norm. I'm not into cuddling, PDA, being Facebook official, and definitely not good morning texts. Does this mean that I, and other women who are like me, don't like to be appreciated? Of course not. I think this just means that there is a new generation of women and we don't need to rely on someone else's words for our happiness. Whether you are in a relationship or not, there are definitely other things out there that are way better than a little ol' text message.

Okay, so maybe I am just kidding about the last one! But, if you stuck with me this long, you understand where I am coming from. There is nothing wrong with showing affection toward your significant other, and I am not here to judge your relationship. Although this list might look a little random and far-fetched, my point is that your happiness should not be based off of whether or not you start your day with a "good morning" text.
