So often we settle, for friendships, for relationships, and even in our daily lives. This week reminded me of that. Here are 50 things we all need to be reminded of in college.

  1. You are worth more than the boys who only text you after 9pm, and only for one reason.
  2. Never let anyone make you feel inferior, we were all created for greatness
  3. Numbers do not define you
  4. That means grades
  5. Also, the number on the scale
  6. You can try your hardest, and sometimes it won’t be good enough. Get up, and try again.
  7. Eat healthy and exercise, but not to impress anyone but yourself
  8. It is totally okay to eat ice cream for dinner
  9. But, not every night. Vegetables are important.
  10. You will gain weight in college, everyone does.
  11. Don’t pick a career over how much money It pays
  12. Do what you love, and the rest will work itself out
  13. Your happiness is most important
  14. You are not defined by your struggles
  15. But, you should learn from them.
  16. It’s okay to cry
  17. But, it’s not okay to keep crying
  18. Stop telling yourself that you’ll never find a boy.
  19. When you do, make sure he loves you.
  20. You need someone to look at you in your weakest points, and when you are 75 and old, and still love you. If he loves you for your body, or for how much of yourself you give him I promise he doesn’t actually love you. Looks fade, love is eternal.
  21. Never settle. Ever.
  22. Always call your mom, she knows more than you think.
  23. But, don’t call home in every situation. You need to learn to be independent.
  24. Family is forever. Never forget that.
  25. People will pressure you to do things you are not comfortable with. It’s okay to say no.
  26. Nights are much more fun when you can actually remember them.
  27. Try something new. Go out of your comfort zone. You will not regret it.
  28. It’s okay to be alone sometimes. You don’t need to be around people 24/7 and actually, that’s bad for your mental health.
  29. Take a few days a semester just for you. Sit in bed, watch an entire season of Gilmore girls.
  30. Find the good in everyone.
  31. Yes, even the mean girls.
  32. Start each day with a smile. It will change you.
  33. Go to bed early. You are so much more prepared for the day with ample sleep.
  34. However, it’s okay to pull an all nighter sometimes. This is college, after all.
  35. Find an older friend, peer, or someone you can look up to. You’ll thank me later.
  36. Don’t ever be afraid to say hi. In fact, say it to strangers as much as you can.
  37. You are NOT too cool to love God.
  38. You don’t have to preach Him, but act like Him.
  39. Go to class, you are paying way more than you think.
  40. Always study, but not to the point of tears. Always stop when there are tears.
  41. You don’t have to sign up for everything.
  42. But, sign up for something. If you are bored in college, you’re doing it wrong.
  43. Never pass up a late night food run.
  44. Yes, it might be extra calories, but it is also extra memories.
  45. Join a sorority or fraternity, it might be out of your comfort zone but it’s so worth it.
  46. Speaking of those, find out about the houses for yourself. Never go with one or not with one based on what you’ve heard.
  47. IT'S OKAY TO BE STRESSED
  48. Get to know your professors, they could actually become like friends.
  49. While we are on the friend subject, you only have 4 years on campus. Spend as much time as you can with them.
  50. HAVE FUN. Never again will you get to live with your best friends.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
