Fall has dawned on us and now we are in perhaps the best season of the year. The weather is a little askew, ranging from fall weather in the morning, summer in the afternoon, and winter at night. Nevertheless, the weather is just one factor to this beautiful season. Fall colors have made a reappearance, pumpkin spice becomes the signature scent and flavor for almost all products, and Halloween is right around the corner! The leaves escape from the trees' branches and fall to the ground in an assortment of colors and the best Halloween Disney movies return to our television screens. Even better, fall is the gateway to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! Fall is clearly the best season for several reasons, but most importantly, it is a season of imminent change. Fall reminds us to embrace change and the beauty that comes with it, so in light of this, here are 50 reminders we all need for this season:

1) Embrace, love, and appreciate the little things in life.

5) Never allow ten negative seconds to ruin your day.

6) Take a breath and relax every once in awhile.

7) Remember that you are here on this Earth for a reason.

8) You serve a greater purpose. It is your job to figure it out.

18) This is a season of change. Things will change and people will change, including you. You will learn to adjust.

19) What seems difficult now will eventually become easier.

20) Don't be your own worst enemy.

21) Forget the past and don't allow it to dictate your future.

22) Remember the golden rule: Treat others how you want to be treated. Be kind to people and whether or not it is reciprocated, you will have good karma for doing so.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
