50 Reasons I'm Thankful For My Mom

Everyone gets a mother, but not everyone is blessed with someone in their life that is so loving, caring, and selfless. I can only hope that one day I am half of the woman you are. I literally would not be here today without your help, so here's a short list of reasons of why I would like to thank you.

1) Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.

2) And for always pushing me to be the best person I can be.

3) Thank you for forcing me to wear a jacket, even when I get annoyed about it.

4) Because we both know I get sick without one.

5) Thank you for letting me make my own mistakes.

6) And encouraging me to make them so I could grow.

7) Thank you for not telling me "I told you so" over EVERYTHING.

8) Although I probably deserve to hear it a lot.

9) Thank you for always making me laugh.

10) Thank you for reminding me that YOU are the nurse and not WebMD whenever I think that I am dying.

11) Thank you for always coming to the rescue when I have an emergency.

12) Thank you for going to the doctor with me when I'm sick, even though I'm an adult.

13) And for talking to the doctor so I don't have to.

14) Also for filling out the paperwork, I am so grateful for that.

15) Thank you for sending me care packages filled with my favorite snacks.

16) Thank you for reminding me that it is okay to be different.

17) And for always telling me that if everyone was the same, the world would be an awfully boring place.

18) Thank you for letting me raid your closet even though I have three closets full of clothes.

19) Thank you for dealing with me in middle school.

20) And telling me I looked beautiful even though I had blue eyeshadow smeared across my face.

21) Thank you for running to the scene when I got in a car accident last fall.

22) And taking care of everything even though I'm technically an adult and should've done it myself.

23) Thank you for staying at the hospital with me until 2am.

24) And for letting me cry on your shoulders.

25) Thank you for making such good food.

26) Thank you for teaching me good manners.

27) Even if I still burp and slurp all the time.

28) Thank you for listening to me bang on the piano for twelve years and for never missing a recital.

29) Even when I sounded terrible during practices.

30) Thank you for teaching me morals and values.

31) And that it's OKAY to respect yourself, even in today's society.

32) Thank you for reminding me that I do not need a boy to be happy.

33) Thank you for always helping with my fine arts entries.

34) I wouldn't have placed second in the nation without you.

35) Thank you for taking me to get my first tattoo.

36) And for not laughing at me when I cringed the second the needle touched my skin.

37) Thank you for asking about my day.

38) Thank you for always keeping everything I give you.

39) Even when it's a junky drawing I made you in kindergarten.

40) Thanks for being the cool mom.

41) Thank you for packing my bag for me whenever I go on a trip.

42) Because you know how much it overwhelms me.

43) Thank you for loving pizza as much as I do.

44) Thanks you for all the sacrifices you have made to be my mom.

45) Thank you for laughing at my corny jokes.

46) Even though we both know they aren't funny.

47) Thank you for encouraging me to pursue a higher level of education.

48) And for allowing me to pick wherever I wanted to go to do so.

49) Thank you for knowing me better than I know myself.

50) Thank you for loving me unconditionally.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
