It seems YouTube has been taken over by all these gaming channels and it's almost like that's all YouTube has become. However, there are still hundreds of channels out there that can provide just as much fun without following this new trend. I present to five amazing YouTube channels you should check out!

1. Channel Awesome:

American web series created, written, edited, directed and performed by Doug Walker. The series initially launched on YouTube in July 2007 before moving to Walker's own site That Guy With The Glasses, then to Channel Awesome. The show follows Walker as the titular Nostalgia Critic, a bitter and sarcastic critic who reviews films and television shows from his childhood and recent past, usually with comically exaggerated rage. The show often alternates the Critic's angry rants and juvenile humor with legitimate analysis of the episode's subject (Wikitubia).

2. Rob Dyke:

Rob Dyke is an American YouTuber and internet personality. Rob has a series called "Seriously Strange", which has two smaller series called "Twisted Tens" and "Serial Killer Files". Seriously Strange is a series by Rob Dyke made on February 2014, as his main horror or fear series with artwork made by TheJoopis. A new episode of the series gets uploaded every Wednesday. There are three sub-series of Seriously Strange called "Twisted Tens", "Serial Killer Files," and "Caught on Camera." The sub-series, Twisted Tens, is a countdown type of series, where Rob Dyke will talk about 10 different things relating to the series.The sub-series "Serial Killer Files" is a series that talks about serial killers that may or may not still be out there right now. And finally, the sub series Caught on Camera is where he acquires mysterious camera footage and discusses it, what he thinks about it and what other people thinks about it (Wikitubia).

3. jacksfilms:

Jack Douglas (born June 30, 1988), also known by his YouTube username jacksfilms, is an American internet personality, musician and comedian on YouTube, known for his parodies of infomercials, skits, and the Your Grammar Sucks series. His series JackAsk involves him taking questions from viewers and answering them humorously. He began a series called Yesterday I Asked You (YIAY), which is based on a bit Douglass did in JackAsk, in which he asks his viewers questions and reads the best and funniest answers the following day (Wikitubia).

4. MostPopularGirls:

The Most Popular Girls in School (abbreviated MPGIS) is an American stop motion animated comedy web series that debuted on YouTube on May 1, 2012. Created by Mark Cope and Carlo Moss, the series animates Barbie, Ken and other fashion dolls, usually with customized costumes and hairstyles, as various characters. MPGIS follows the exploits of the fictional Overland Park High School cheerleading squad and their friends, family and enemies. Variety described the series as "Mean Girls meets South Park". To date, 70 episodes have been released (Wikitubia).

5. Erutan Music:

Erutan sings and plays a myriad of folk instruments, including the harp and violin. Her arrangements have strong Medieval vibes and she records her songs in her own home. She also arranges music for video games in her spare time. Her albums can be found on Google Play, iTunes and her personal website: erutanmusic.com.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
