On college move-in day, I essentially had a meltdown and was absolutely terrified about leaving home. By the mid-term break, I was still happy to come home but was missing college a little bit.
By the time Christmas break came, I was still happy to come home, but I really missed college. It's unarguably a weird thing to come home after spending five months in an entirely different environment.
1. Seeing all of your childhood landmarks.
The ice cream store on the corner looks different, right?
2. Your own room.
So many odd posters and purple leopard print walls. What was I thinking?
3. High school friends.
These guys are great, but they didn't witness my finest college moments??
4. Randomly seeing any ex-girlfriends or friends.
Once again, what was I thinking?
5. How much you've grown.
It's only been six months, but your entire perspective, and probably your style has totally altered. Good for you!
