Everyone loves Netflix, but sometimes it can be hard to decide on a movie or show. When I can't decide on a movie, I try to find the weirdest film that I can, and surprisingly, their horror section is full of them. Here are five of the oddest things that you can stream instantly!
1. "Zombeavers"
"Zombeavers" is about, you guessed it, zombie beavers. According to Netflix "a bunch of randy college kids partying in a woodland cabin gets a nasty surprise when a horde of ferocious zombie beavers attacks." This 2014 film is rated R and has 1.5 stars. This goofy movie is hilariously dumb and fun to watch in a group. It's one of those movies you have to watch, just to say that you have.
2. "John Dies at the End"
This movie is one that will have you asking 'what just happened' at the end. This 2012 film is about a drug called Soy Sauce and its users. This movie is based off the book by David Wong. The movie follows David Wong as he survives being injected with Soy Sauce, which allows him to perceive alternate dimensions and travel across time. This R movie has 3.25 stars on Netflix.
3. "A Brony Tale"
"A Brony Tale" is a documentary about "My Little Pony's" adult fans, most of who are middle-aged men. This 2014 movie is hosted by voice actor Ashleigh Ball, a lead actress in "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." "A Brony Tale" shares some actually heart warming tales about grown men who enjoy a television show made for young girls. This documentary has two stars on Netflix. This film is definitely one of the weirder ones on Netflix.
4. "Happy Tree Friends"
You might think that this bright and colorful cartoon is for kids, but it is definitely not. This innocent looking show is full of gore and violence. This 2006 cartoon has 13 dark episodes on Netflix and 2.5 stars. The overview states that "It's one gory mishap after another for Giggles, Cuddles and all their deceptively adorable buck-toothed, forest-dwelling critter pals," and that is exactly what you will get. Whatever you do, don't mistake this show as a happy cartoon for children.
5. "Avalanche Sharks"
This 2013 TV-MA movie has an all time low of one star on Netflix. The movie follows a bunch of spring breakers as they try to survive ancient 'snow sharks' that feed on human flesh. The sharks are brought about by a avalanche at a ski resort, and don't even bother asking how or why. Sadly, this movie is nothing like any of the other shark natural disaster movies, but you can enjoy some Power Rangers esq. graphics and sharks that materialize out of nothing. "Avalanche Sharks" definitely deserved its one star.
