5 Ways To Make Your Life More Exciting

It's January. I'm guessing that unless your birthday is in January, it's probably one of your least favorite months of the year. It's cold and dreary and you feel like you hate everyone.

Don't let yourself slide into that wintry slump. Here are five easy ideas on how you can spice up your life today:

1. Redo your bedroom

People always recommend switching up habits when you're becoming too comfortable with someone. Moving around furniture can sometimes make your home feel completely new. You might also come up with an arrangement that gives you a lot more space. You'll ask yourself, "Why didn't I do this sooner?"

2. Find something new to do on campus

I'll admit it's much easier to just hang out with your friends in your house, but most of us don't realize how much our campus offers outside of Greek Life. There are club activities, free movies, ski trips, free food and pretty cool guest speakers. You've been missing out. Get involved and step out of the norm.

3. Start a viewing party for a show everyone loves

My whole house loves "The Bachelor." I didn't realize how much more fun it would be to watch with all of my friends and hella pizza. Mondays are now my new favorite day.

4. Go to a scenic spot near you

Most bodies of water have a place where people can sit and look out over an amazing view or even hike a mountain. Seeing the view will definitely be the peak of your day.
