1. You expect the worst but still hope for the best
With the exception of a few good seasons, it's hard being a UK football fan. Sometimes it is like watching a team invent new ways to lose a ball game. For example, year ago UK had LSU beat late in the game, the players dumped Gatorade on the coach, fans began to rush the field and they lost on a deep pass. More recently, getting up big on Southern Miss and Louisville and watching the team blow it in the 2nd Half. But every game you still hope for games like beating a top 10 UL team in 2007 and winning against the number 1 LSU team in 2007 as well.
2. Looking at the schedule every season and deciding how UK will make a bowl game
Every season UK fans will pick which 6 (or more) games are winnable. With the SEC schedule being difficult, you know that they are going to lose some games, like games at Alabama. It has been 5 or 6 years since they have made a bowl game.
3. Hating the UK fans that only watch the basketball team
UK fans who only support UK basketball are the worst. They tend to root for Alabama, Ohio State or whichever is doing better. They only watch UK football when they play Louisville or when they are winning. They usually start wearing UK gear around Big Blue Madness.
4. Saying things you do not mean
During a game, it can get pretty heated. Saying things during/after games like "i'll never watch another UK football game!!", "Stoops should not have a job!!" or "what do they even coach these guys?!" Yes I've said all of those.....during/after the same game. Watching them play sometimes will leave you screaming at your TV screen or at Coach Stoops and the players on the sidelines.
5. Being superstitious
Doing the same routine because they won before when you did so. Sitting in the same spot in front of the TV, wearing that t-shirt, hoodie or jersey or whatever else you think will help them pull out a victory.
