5 Ways To Use Essential Oils In Your Life

1. Stress relief.

When we are stressed, it's easy to fall into bad habits. Relieve some of your stress in a natural, healthy, and proven way. Aromatherapy stimulates receptors in your nose, and those receptors send messages to your brain and nervous system. You can simply waft the scent from the bottle, put some in a diffuser, or dab some on your forehead and back of neck. Rose oil, lavender oil, and chamomile oil are best for this practice.

2. Perfume.

Most perfumes wear off over time. I've found that by dabbing a small drop of essential oils on my pulse points, the scent stays present and lovely all day. Choose any oil of your choice!

3. Skin care.

Did you know that most of your skin care products probably already have essential oils in them as an active ingredient? Essential oils can help clear acne, brighten and nourish your skin, and moisturize without the harsh chemicals. Mix together coconut oil with lavender and tea tree essential oils, and you've got yourself a natural skin care remedy.

4. Clear your stuffy nose or sore throat.

I never believed that essential oils could help my congestion until I tried it myself. Simply put a drop of eucalyptus essential oil on a cotton ball and sniff it throughout the day. It clears the mucus and heals your nostrils. You could also put a drop of eucalyptus in bath water. Obviously, try with caution, and take medicine as needed.

5. Strengthen hair.

Similar to your skin products, you can definitely find essential oils in your everyday hair products. Before or after showers, rub a drop of oil between your hands and run them through your hair. Tea tree oil, cedarwood oil, and rosemary oil can help your hair grow, stay healthy, and become stronger.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
