Spring break is just around the corner, but the real question is how you're going to spend it! It can be hard trying to make plans and coordinate with other people, so here are some easy ways to spend your spring break.

1. Go home

For some people it's not easy getting home to see the family. Take this time to go home and relax if you feel like you need a break from school friends. Going home for spring break isn't as lame as it sounds and you’ll find that a lot of people end up doing it!

2. Go to Canada

Never been out of the country? Canada is a great place to start! Find a bus that can take you up to one of the big cities (Montreal/Toronto/Vancouver) and spend a couple days exploring a different culture! P.S. This trip is not for those who aren't good in cold weather, it's cold as hell in Canada this time of year.

3. Go to a beach

Take a getaway to one of the closest beaches near you. If you go to a school that's currently in a snowy season it might be nice to take a trip to more tropical weather.

4. Stay on campus

If you go to a school with a lot of things to do in the area you may consider just staying in campus with some friends. Plan out what you want to do for each day so you don't just end up still around the dorms, and go have fun! This way you're not paying for a hotel and minimal transportation.

5. Road trip

If you have a friend with a car, take advantage! Everyone on the trip pitch in some money for gas and go! Try traveling the areas of the state that you've been wanting to explore or even travel to a different state. This is a great way to get to know your friends better because you'll be in a car together for so long! Disclaimer: you will be in a car with these people A LOT so make sure you know you'll be able to handle being with them for that long.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
