My Top Five Favorite Places In Chicago

I love Chicago. It's such a pretty city. The city is so captivating, and there's always something to do in Chicago. So I'm gonna give you 5 things to do in Chicago.

1. Go to Michigan Avenue.

Marriott

Michigan avenue is filled with all of the shops, a lot restaurants, bars. The things to do there, are ENDLESS. Pro tip: don't come before Christmas or after. Michigan avenue is usually packed during that time. Unless, you like the big crowds and a lot of people. But, regardless Michigan Avenue is a great place to go.

2. Go to the Lincoln Park zoo.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Lincoln Park zoo is always another fun idea. If you have little kids, they'll enjoy this. I went with my roommates at the beginning of the school year and it was a lot of fun! And I got a lot of cute pictures. Plus, it's free. Definitely recommend going all ages will love this.

3. Go to the Navy Pier.

Another super great idea for if you have kids. You can ride the Ferris wheel there and a ton of restaurants. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the line is super long for the ferris wheel. But, if you get there early you can get a good spot. It's usually crowded and busy, since it's one of the biggest spots Chicago people like to go.

4. Go to the Chicago River.

Time Out

If you go before, Saint Patty's day, they dye the river green. It's always super pretty. Plus, it's in the middle of the city. You can take super cute pictures and look at the river, then go into the city. Or look at the city at the same time.

5. Go see the Bean in the loop.

Pretty basic, but the Bean is always super fun and pretty to look at. Assuming you can go under it, you can take photos. The pictures come out looking so cute. But due, to this whole pandemic, they have the bean gated off. So, you can still take photos but from behind a gate. Better than nothing though.

However, you decide to spend the day in Chicago, I'm sure you'll love it. The Windy City, never disappoints anyone.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
