5 Ways to Ring In 2017 Right!

There's many ways that you could kick off 2017. Here's some ways to have a great start to the year ahead of us.

1. Spend time with your family.

Ring in the new year the way you did as a child. Oh, the nostalgia.

2. Hangout with hometown friends.

Grab some friends and host a party. And if you’re not in the party mood, go out for brunch or something instead.

3. Travel to NYC.

Head to NYC if you want to see the ball drop in Times Square. Ryan Seacrest will also be there. Need I say anymore?

    4. Volunteer

Volunteers are needed at more than new year parties that organizations may host. There’s sure to be volunteer opportunities that are available all year. Look around your community to various opportunities. Helping others is a great way to start the new year.

5. Catch up on sleep

Earlier in 2016, the CDC reported that 33% of adults are
sleep deprived. Start your new year right by hitting the hay.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
