Life is way too short to be negative all the time. Remember different ways that you can be positive so that you can genuinely feel comfortable in your own skin.
1. Count your blessings.
Whether it is by writing them down every night before you go to sleep or thinking about them in your spare time, remember all the good things in your life and why you are completely blessed.
2. Surround yourself with positive people.
Being positive is contagious so a great way to remain happy is to be around happy people. No need to always be around people who constantly bring you down.
3. Visualize happy things in your life.
If you believe the worst, then the worst will occur. But if you see yourself as being happy and successful then that's how you will be.
4. Stop comparing yourself.
You will never be satisfied if you constantly compare yourself to others. Everyone has flaws. The only thing that separates people is people who accept their flaws and appreciate who they are and those who compare themselves to others and feel like they always fall short. You have to love yourself first and that includes acceptance. Everyone is made up distinctively, don't compare apples to oranges.
5. Practice makes perfect.
Being positive is a process. The only way you can perfect it is if you constantly and consciously practice being positive. The more you do it, the easier it will become, and the more you can reap the benefits for it.
