5 Ways To Pamper Your Cat

Cats are the divas of the pet world. They are one of the most royal pets. They deserve all the pampering and attention to ensure they are in optimal health and comfort. Oftentimes, our busy schedules don't allow us to pamper our feline friends as much as we would like. Still, we must make the most of the time at hand to give our furry friends some tender love and care. If you're wondering how you can shower your cat with love, here are five full-proof ways that are certain to work!

Safe Toys

Toys are an important part of any cat's life. They keep them engaged, active and healthy. Cats have a natural predatory instinct. Hence it is important to invest in toys that cater to their instincts and satisfies their natural tendencies within the four walls of your home. At the same time, it is important to ensure that the toys you buy for your cat are safe in all aspects. Common dangers with toys include choking hazards, dust collection and sharp edges. Avoid plastic toys that are easily dismantled into smaller pieces, as this can be a choking hazard for cats. Soft toys are a favourite for all animals as it gives them a sense of comfort. Avoid toys that have protrusions or sharp edges, as your unassuming pet can end up suffering serious injuries from them. Blunt toys made of wood, bamboo or any natural material are ideal entertainment investments for cats that last for years. Scratching boards, busy boards, treat poppers and musical toys never go wrong with your furry friend.

Give Your Time & Attention

There's nothing more your cat wants than to be pampered and loved by you. If you want your cat to be happy and content, make sure you pamper her with oodles of time with you. Yes, you read that right. Cats, just like all pets, need plenty of reassurance and love. So, when you find yourself having time on hand, spend time doing things she likes like curling up with her, going outdoors for a walk or taking her to her favourite spa. With the number of new-age ways to groom a cat, there's no dearth of how you can make your cat feel loved and pampered!

Cat Enclosure

An outdoor cat enclosure is one of the most useful and safe cat accessories to have in your home. If you have a large backyard, consider investing in a spacious cat enclosure to allow your cat to enjoy outdoor time to the fullest. A cat enclosure is an outdoor sanctuary that keeps your cat engaged and active. Opt for one with a ramp for plenty of climbing and jumping, both of which are natural to feline behaviour. A big cat enclosure with a mesh wire ensures your cat enjoys plenty of sunlight and fresh air while being safe and constrained in a particular area throughout. A cat enclosure with multiple doors promises easy accessibility and visibility even when you are at a distance. It also helps you easily reach your cat when she is in distress. Go for an enclosure with a thick asphalt roof for all-weather protection. A well-structured cat enclosure with plenty of space is sure to get your cat's favourite abode!

Pet Facebook

Everybody needs a friend - including your cat! Get your feline friend's social life up and running with Catbook, a one-of-a-kind application that caters to your cat's social and physiological needs. Use this app to find other cat parents in the vicinity. Set up playdates, create fun photo grids and let your cat bite into the social media pie! This app is extremely useful in alerting your friends on important dates, events abs activities! It also lets you send out messages on your missing cat should she wander away a little too far. This app is a boon for those who love pampering their cat!

Right Nutrition

A happy, well-fed cat is akin to a pampered cat. Give your cat plenty of age-appropriate nutrition in the form of food and liquids. A growing kitten requires the right nutrition composition that is very different from the typical diet of a senior cat. Avoid giving kittens regular cat food, as it may cause indigestion and serious health problems. Onions, garlic, sweets, raw meat and raw eggs are a strict no-no for cats of any age. Bread, grapes, nuts and raisins can choke cats and must be avoided at all costs. Many pet owners often use cat food and dog food interchangeably. This is a grave mistake that can cost your cat her health. Talk to a vet about tips to choosing an optimal diet suiting your cat's age and build. Also, discuss optimal quantities to ensure you don't overfeed or underfeed your cat. Overfeeding your cat can lead to her throwing up, which can eventually result in dehydration.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
