Desiring God

1. Thank Him For The Little Things

A lot of people these days just gripe and complain about everything. By living in Christ we should thank Him for all that he does for us. Whether it be the biggest prayer request or the littlest that your sibling said at the dinner table, we should thank Him for everything, no matter how big or small.

2. Look At The Positive Side Of Things

People get so caught up in things when they go wrong. they like to look at everything wrong in situations and never look on the bright side. By looking at the bright side we can please God not only by being cheerful and positive but also by bringing other people up. If everyone is complaining and you talk about the positive aspects of the situation it will make them look at it in a different perspective.

3. Connect With Others Around You And Show Them His Love

We fulfil God's plan for us by discipleship. By connecting with other and telling them aboutGod we can bring more people into the kingdom of God. We can show our love (Jesus' love) to others by simply just lending them a hand and letting them know that we are there for them.

4. Always Be Grateful

We should always be grateful. Now days we take a lot of things for granted like, housing, technology, and the freedom of religion. We should be grateful for everything in life.

5. Spend Time With Him

Whether it be doing a bible study, reading the verse of the day, praying ,or simply just listening to worship music in the car, they are all considered spending time with Him. You don't have to go to church or be with Godly people in order to spend time with Him. The best time to spend time with God is on your own praying, reading, and listening to God.

Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
