5 Ways To Have Fun On A Budget This Summer

Summer is literally the best, but sometimes you do not have the budget to do everything that you want. Well here are some great ways to still have fun even if you are on a tight budget.

1. Drive in Movie

Drive-in movies are a great way to have fun on a budget. These prices are relatively cheap and most drive-ins offer double features is really cool because you are able to see two movies in a unique setting while still having the normal amenities of a theatre. A common misconception is that one might have is not being able to hear however the there is a specific radio station that will have the audio for the movie that you are watching.

2. Go to the Farmers Market

The farmers market is a lot of fun. You are able to connect to a new side of your community while buying fresh and locally grown foods. It is awesome because you are able to learn about new foods that may not be available at your normal grocery store. Besides the great food, the atmosphere is awesome. There is a real sense of community it is definitely something worth being a part of .

3. Visit the Local Museum

Many museums have certain nights or days of the week that are free or discounted. At museum you are able to see some really great works, but also some really cool exhibits. The exhibits are changed often so you would be able to see multiple exhibits throughout the summer months. The modern art musuem is often the most well received as it shows unconventional art. It is really inspiring seeing how the artist came to their finished product.

4. Road Trip to the Beach or the Lake

Road-tripping is so much fun, not only do you save on overall travel prices but are also able to see places that can be easily skipped over. This definetely my favorite part of the trip is the stops in between at the coolest gas stations like Buc-ees. The memories made while getting to the destination are just icing on the cake once arriving at the beach or the lake. Its a great time to relax and enjoy the weather with friends and maybe even a good book.

5. Do Fun a Run

Throughout the summer there are several runs like the glow glow run, color run, foam run and so on. This a great way to stay active in the summer while also having a lot of fun. If you register early you can get your admission to the race at a discounted prices. There are even group rates for you and your friends to do the race all together. I love this because it is a good time from start to finish.

All in all, summer is what you make it. Find something you like to do, find a group a friends and have a good time enjoying each other.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
