Here is a list of a few ways you can give back to the community this holiday season. Giving back during the holidays is not only a way to help other people, but it truly feels rewarding to know you did something for someone in need.

1. Donate canned food to a food bank.

Here is a link where you can search for food banks to donate to near you. You can also volunteer at the food banks as well.

2. Donate clothes that don't fit anymore to places like a 'Rescue Mission' thrift store.

Here is a link to the Durham Rescue Mission (NC) thrift store near me. You can look for stores near you too, but this just gives you an idea on what they're like and about them.

3. Volunteer at a homeless shelter

There are a lot of places you can volunteer for the homeless: churches, homeless shelters, non-profit organizations, etc. Although I can't exactly give a link to where you could personally go, here is a link to one near me so you can get an idea on what to look for.

4. Donate to a kids gift drive for less fortunate children like 'Toys for Tots'

'Toys for Tots' is an organization that is run by the U.S. Marine Corps. Every year, October-December they collect (new) toys to donate to children who are less fortunate. Here is the link if you would like to donate.

5. Donate food, toys, or blankets to an animal shelter

Call any animal shelter near you and ask them what kinds of things they are in need of. Here is a link to one near me.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
