5 Ways To Fake Your Spring Break

It's Spring Break season and everyone is preparing for their exotic, tropical vacations. Well, almost everyone. There are also those of us who don't have any interesting plans, just a simple trip home for the week. We are a rare group, but there are definitely some things to do to fake your Spring Break and appear that you actually had a sufficient vacation.

1. Find Your Friends

Everything is better with friends. Find those who are also home for break and make plans with them. Do everything you would normally do alone and just invite them along. We all know that friends make even the dullest moments better.

2. Fake Tan

Nothing will make you feel better than getting a little tan. You will feel great and everyone will assume you went away somewhere warm, even if it is 30 degrees at home. Go get a spray tan, use an at home tanner, anything to get you feeling like Snooki! Well, maybe not exactly like Snooki.

3. Spa Day

Spa days are essential when you go on a real vacation, so make them essential when you're home. Go to a spa with your friends, or just have a spa day at home. Face masks, paint your nails, take a warm bubble bath, make that spa day awesome!

4. Do Something New

It's a common belief that you have done absolutely everything in your hometown, because it is just that boring. Not true! Do research, find something that you have never done before and go do it. You may still be at home but having this new experience will make this trip that much more fun.

5. Overnight Trip

Just because you didn't go on a tropical trip like all your friends doesn't mean you can't have your own mini-vacation. Find a cute bed and breakfast, or even a hotel 15-minutes from your house and go spend a night there. Bring your friends or go alone, but this will feel totally different than just another night at home.

The key to faking your Spring Break is doing new things and making the best of your situation. It may not be ideal but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, so find that light!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
