Thanksgiving break is just around the corner. Personally, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays to enjoy because of all the delicious food that we can eat and devour. However, a downside of Thanksgiving is eating too much which causes weight gain. If you are unsure of what you should do during Thanksgiving to make sure your not gaining any weight, here are several ways to prevent that from happening:
1. Eat Sensibly.
Many of us try not to eat as much throughout the day because we believe that if we leave more room in our stomachs, then we will be able to eat more at Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, this is not a good thing because you may end up overeating which can damage your insides.
2. Think about your previous Thanksgiving dinners and remember what kinds of food were your favorite.
For example, my favorite food from this holiday include turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, and some of the veggies. Therefore, a portion of my plate should include most of that. Then a small portion can be left for the other fun stuff such as stuffing or sweet potatoes. If you eat everything but at small portions, then you are unlikely to gain some weight.
3. As much as we love leftovers, if you are having a party, try to send some of the leftovers to your guests.
Having less food for yourself increases the chances of not gaining any weight because the less food you have, the less you can eat.
4. If you have any leftovers for yourself, split them into small portions so that you can still enjoy the taste of Thanksgiving without gaining any weight.
Packing portions of your leftovers into your tupperwares allow you to have individual meals throughout the day with just the perfect amount of serving.
5. If you are unable to resist the temptation, than the alternative way to enjoy Thanksgiving is to exercise all that you ate out.
If you want to eat as much food as you want regardless of weight gain, than you simply just have to exercise to lose any extra pounds you packed into your body.
