With school starting back up again, and me having the most stressful week of my life, I thought I would share how I get through being stressed. Everyone handles stress differently, but these 5 ways help me, and hopefully they help you too.

1. Cry it out

This may or may not be the best thing to do, but sometimes you just have to let it all out. It is okay to cry; it is not good to bottle up all of your feelings. Sometimes crying will make you feel better about the little stuff or the big stuff.

2. Cuddle your pet

Any kind of pet will do here. Sometimes just giving your pet a hug helps so much. They don’t know what’s going on, but they appreciate all the loves you will be giving them.

3. Talk about it

Ranting about whatever you are stressed about sometimes helps a lot. Just getting it off your chest will help. Call your dad, mom, friends, or your boyfriend/girlfriend and tell them about what is making you feel so stressed.

4. Write about it

Sometimes when I do not want to bug people about my problem, I write about them. I find that it helps me express my words more. I feel just as better, and writing about it helps a ton. Do not feel weird about it, IT HELPS.

5. Get out

Getting out and doing something that isn’t related to your stress helps take your mind off the things bumming you out. Go have fun for a little, go out with your friends and go on an adventure. You do not always need to be stressing out.

They aren’t the best things, and I am sure you have had someone tell you to do all of these things, but it is good to have a reminder about what to do. Do not be afraid to ask for help, if you need it ask for it.

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
