Galentine’s Day is coming! It’s right around the corner, and despite popular belief, you don’t have to be single to celebrate it! Whether you’re happily taken and have been planning the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day with your S.O. or you’re single and the thought of lovey-dovey couples makes you cringe, there is still much to be celebrated! Valentine’s Day isn’t exclusively for couples, so don’t forget about your gal pals, and singles, don’t be tempted to avoid the day!

Here are 5 ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day with your fave ladies!

1. At-home paint party

Now, this isn’t as elaborate as it sounds. It can be totally low-key with your closest gal pals. Grab a couple bottles of wine and different colored paint, announce a BYOC (bring your own canvas), and set up a place to paint. Whether it’s at the dining room table or spreading a sheet on the living room floor, make sure you give you and your girls enough room to get creative. Spend the night painting, sippin’, and gossiping. You’ll love this so much, you’ll want to make it a monthly thing. You’ll think me later.

2. Couple's massage

So, if you’re looking for something to do with your bestie that is totally out of the ordinary, make an appointment to get a couple’s massage. I don’t know why we don’t do this more often. Like, we should do this as often as we get mani-pedi’s together. The idea may sound weird at first, but it’ll take your friendship to the next level. There’s nothing like relaxing with your best friend while your favorite masseuses buff all your problems away. It’s the most perfect activity to add to your Galentine’s Day events.

3. Get matchy

This one might be a little bit outside of the box, but just hear me out because it could be totally hilarious. Now, you’ll have to trust your BFF a lot because this one requires you to trade phones. Swap phones and create a dating profile for your bestie with the promise of deleting it at the end of the night. Because it’s close to Valentine’s Day, you’re sure to get a lot of hits, so don't make their profile too obvious of a joke. Spend the rest of your night dying of laughter from the random conversations you’ll have with other users. Do we have anything better to do with our time? Probably, but if you’re bored and could use a good laugh, this activity is harmless.

4. Hit the town

Going out is always an option, especially if you want to get dressed up and get out of the house. Whether your idea of going out is getting drinks or going to dinner and a movie or even a combination of both, as long as you’re with your girls the night is bound to be a good one. Look up things to do in your area. Call around, make reservations, meet up with your besties to get ready and grab the night by the horns! Not to mention, Fifty Shades Freed is coming out on Valentine’s Day, but no pressure.

5. Kick it old school

You can’t go wrong with an old-fashioned slumber party with your girls! Break out the facemasks, nail polish, cookie dough and pop in the Princess Diaries or restart Gossip Girl for the 398th time and spend the rest of the night drooling over Nate Archibald.

However you choose to celebrate Galentine’s Day, make sure it is centered around having a good time with your girls and choosing to be happy in the season you’re in because it won’t last forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
