I've written about reasons why young people should contact Congress, but now here's how to get involved.
1. Letters
You can write a good, old-fashioned letter to your Congressmen! I myself have done this, these letters can be very long or short and sweet. The point is to get across what you want them to support.
2. Call the Office
All you have to do is say, "Hello, my name is x and I'm calling to support y." It does not have to be complicated in any way, shape, or form.
3. Email or social media
The internet has made politicians even more accessible to their constituents than ever before. This is the same principle as calling, or writing letters.
4. Meet with them in their offices
5. Get a group of people together.
You can apply the same tactics as numbers one through four, but with a group of people. It can be more impactful to advocate for what you want when there's more than one of you.
