I sleep as much as I do because my life is much more exciting in my dreams.

5 Signs You Love Sleeping More Than Living

Many of the people who know me know that I can sleep more than I can stay awake on any given day. For some reason, nothing seems to level up to the amount of importance that sleep has to me. For example, if I had to choose between finishing an assignment due the next morning and get at least five hours of sleep that night, I would choose getting five hours of sleep -- simply because of the awesome life that I have in my dreams.

As crazy as my dreams may get, I'd rather live a life full of excitement and mystery, sort of like "Gossip Girl," than do the same thing over and over again in my actual life and have a greater possibility of failing at the important things. Sleeping is my sweet getaway from the daily stress I face and dumb questions that are asked, and most importantly, it's the best part of the morning, afternoon and night time. But here are some ways you can tell if you love sleeping more than life.

1. You tend to mix up your dreams and your actual reality.

Yep, it's totally OK. It happens to the best of us. You're in a conversation and tend to bring up a conversation you thought you had in real life and it turns out it was just in your dreams. Or maybe you thought you did something you should have done, but turns out it was just a dream and you didn't tell your best friend the good chisme you came across yesterday. Honestly, it's happened to everyone at least once .You've been so tired that you unconsciously swayed yourself into taking care of it while you sleep (as if that's physically possible).

2. You have more pajamas than actual clothing.

You've figured out why you never have anything acceptable to wear! It's because if pajamas were a form of acceptable clothing to wear in public, you'd probably be the coolest cat on the street. Unfortunately, they're not. So you have to settle for sleeping in style and blending in during the day.

3. Any free time you have, you nod off wherever your precious body decides to go.

Self-explanatory. #Respect

4. You tend to spend most of your day processing your dreams.

If you feel in anyway uneasy about your dream last night and you can't seem to figure out why certain incidents happened, you'll go back to sleep to get to the bottom of it. Sleep until everything makes sense!

5. While everyone talks about how their day went, you're already planning an outfit, time and position for sleep.

When your friends are shopping fashion, but your on Amazon looking at the fly-est "onesies" on the market because you sleep in nothing but the best of the best. And of course, you'll take a few pics to show everyone how your night went (putting the pajamas on, taking a picture, grabbing a snack, finding out what material your pajamas are made of, comparing your sleep patterns in different pajamas and then of course sleeping).

In all honesty, there's nothing like a good night's sleep. Anyone who loves sleep will tell you right off the bat why they love it so much. Sleep is the first thing us sleep addicts think about when we wake up and before we go back to sleep.

You know how people say birth is a beautiful thing? I guess birth is my sleep. Take what you want from that one.

What other opportunity do you get to be completely paralyzed and then decide when to hypothetically turn it off? It's pretty awesome. Also, sleep is about the only time I actually have control over my life -- you know? The only place where college loans and adult responsibilities don't exist. So for those who are not on the sleep train, don't judge us -- join us! This is the time change your life. Once you start, you'll never see the world the same again.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
