1. Hor d'oeuvres Portions
Everything looks so good but limit yourself to small portions of each. Instead of indulging in the cheese platter, have a cracker or two and move on. This way not only do you get a taste of everything, but you're not stuffing yourself before Christmas dinner.
2. Fill up on the Vegetable Platter
Every Holiday party is bound to have veggies and dip. Fill your tummy with vegetables so that you don't get hungry and eat things that are terrible for you.
3. Christmas Dinner Choices
Head for the protein and the veggies. Skip the potatoes and casseroles, green beens and prime rib are hearty enough to fill you up.
4. Choose a Cookie over a Big Piece of Pie
Again portion size is key. Munch on a cookie instead of eating a whole piece of pie or cake. Not only is this better for you, but I promise you will feel less bloated.
5. Hydrate
Drink all the water that you can. Sweet drinks are only excess calories that your body can do without. Staying hydrated throughout the holidays will be your savior.
